A two-day basic pistol training course thoroughly exploring the essentials of safety, weapons handling and fundamental marksmanship with the most common civilian-owned firearm platform. Start time Friday morning at 9:00am, finish Saturday 4pm. We start with classroom instruction focused on safety, fundamentals of shooting and mindset, and spend the rest of the day on the range. During lunch and in the evening we spend time on the primary focus of St Michael’s Shepherds: pursuing virtue and building community. This consists of breaking bread together, some directed discussion and just smokin’ and jokin’ by the fire. Day two starts with hand-to-hand instruction before going back to the range for more dynamic shooting drills focused on fundamental weapons handling and problem solving.
